The
timing, on Australia Day, that shocked me. It was bound to draw the
anti-British republicans. Already a Commander of the Order, it was
right and proper to elevate His Royal Highness to the Knighthood new it
is reintroduced. But it should have been done at a better time, like on
HRH's birthday in context of praise for his achievements. We now see
that Mr Abbott is not just out of touch with the Electorate, but does
not care. He now says he has changed and will listen, but even if he
can and does, it may be too late to save him.
