Yesterday it was Warren Mundine and today it is Peter Beattie, former Queensland Labor Premier, that is criticising the opposition to Israel that purvades the Labor Party along with most of the "left". This must be a sign that the peak has been passed in the wave of anti-Semitism that has swelled up in recent decades.
Jerusalem remains contentious because those same closet anti-Semites refuse to accept an undivided city as the capital of Israel. There is no historical claim to Jerusalem by Palestinians who only want half of it for their proposed State Capital to stop the genuine, historical claim by Jews, as well as a foothold for their planned destruction of Israel. When the UN, EU and the rest stop giving false hope to the Palestinians with respect to Jerusalem, then the new suburbs being built will be legitimate and not "illegal settlements".
